JAFT STUDIOS was incorporated in Montréal, a beautiful city tucked into the southern end of the St. Lawrence River in Québec, Canada and standing at the junction of two occidental cultures: the European culture, in particular, the French culture of the Old World and the American culture of the New World. Meanwhile, immigrants from around the world keep adding new cultural dimensions to the society. JAFT benefits greatly from these multi-cultural surroundings and is determined to make films for cultural diversity, social equality, empowerment, and if necessary, change.

JAFT is mostly interested in being an unsparing chronicler of the lives and stories of ordinary people, in the modern society, in the history, or even in a sci-fi future world. No matter where the storiy is set, in a developed country like Canada or USA, in an emerging country like China, or in an imaginary land of fantasy, JAFT would be happy to record the great and probably unexpected things happening around any ordinary person when he or she feels less, possibly even goes through crucibles, and invites life in. Because we believe that’s the moment that we will resonate with the most.

Thus, JAFT eyes on not only the Western world, but also the Oriental world, and even the fantasy world. JAFT cares not only what has happened, what is happening, but also what would happen, expectedly or unexpectedly, in real life or in a virtual world. That’s why we experiment incessantly with bleeding edge technologies to have our first-hand experiences on how these digital innovations would impact our cinema, media, and lives.
