Film Projects
- Closer (working title) (2015)
Immigrant is an important subject of almost all-time for Quebec/Canada. However, we are often satisfied with a bird’s eye view on it without an in-depth examination on its several crucial aspects, such as the child education, the adult job market, and the life quality of senior residents of an immigrant family. In fact, a sagging economy and an aging society are among the biggest challenges faced by Quebec/Canada. It’s estimated that a quarter of the whole Canadian population are immigrants, over 20% of Quebec residents are senior today, and the biggest contribution to a younger Quebec/Canada comes actually from the new immigrants. Thus, a closer look at these particular aspects of the society would definitely be revealing, thought-provoking and sobering. - Betrayed Democracy (working title) (2014)
A documentary on a Haitian activist by a filmmaker in Vancouver. We contributed to the filming part in Montreal.

Cultural Projects
- Ginger Garden 2015
The Asian Canadian Wiki’s Ginger Garden is an intimate public potluck gathering to eat, drink, meet and discuss around informal presentations of arts, education, and community-based projects in an open space conducive to sharing and exchanging information and ideas. Fourteen presenters who identify themselves as Asian / mixed-race will present their most recent work / project in 5 minutes followed by a Q & A period of 5 minutes. The event includes open time for public announcements, spontaneous presenters, and discussion. “Asian”, in this context, includes people of mixed race whose ancestry is rooted in any Asian country.
Wiki’s Ginger Garden facilitates serendipitous discoveries and cross-disciplinary connections and captures the power of creativity and the imagination. We were invited to video document all the presentations.
